Abstract

I argue that Kant’s political philosophy is best understood as involving a commitment to the establishment of a global state even though Kant himself did not recognize this. I describe Kant’s objections to the establishment of a global state and argue that there is one kind of global state structure that would meet these objections. I then discuss the nature of this kind of global state in detail.
